Happy Friday Eve everyone!! Has it not felt like the absolute LONGEST week ever?! Today I have been working on delivering the MOST precious family session gallery and it is getting me through!
Definitely the most popular question I get asked is “What should we wear to our session?” and I GET THAT. It is hard to choose something special for such important photos! But, my suggestion is that you choose two outfits!
I have found that my couples usually like their photos better when they dress more formal for their session! Here are a few tips on which outfits to choose for our session! No matter which outfit you are choosing, stick with neutrals and clothes that make you feel beautiful!!
- Cute, but Casual!! For the first outfit, I recommend picking something that coordinates colors with your parter. Outfits in the same color family, the same level of formal, and that make you both feel great are musts!! For the guys, jeans or nice slacks and a button down or a flannel (cannot stress enough that it needs to be a color coordinating flannel lol) will fail ya!! For the ladies, a cute short dress looks adorable! Also a sweater, jeans, and boots are classics as well. 2. Formal! This is the time to order that dress or suit that you saw online and said “OMG I love this but where would I wear it?” OKAY WELL IT’S NOW! Order it!! This is the time to dress up as much as you want to!! Here are some of my favorite formal outfits from some of my favorite couples:

I usually encourage my couples to choose their favorite outfit for the second half of the session. The light, right before sunset, is the most BEAUTIFUL for photos, so thats the time to let your favorite outfit, BUT more importantly you and your hunny SHINE!!!
